*************ABOUT THESE TEXTURES**********

This is a complete aircraft paint to display the 747SP with Rolls Royce RB211 engines in the 'red tail' livery of Qantas Airlines. The airline operated the type for a number of years and now Flight Simulator users can use it in their virtual fleet for those long, thin trans-Pacific routes. The registration VH-EAA was worn by one of Qantas' fleet up to the retirement of the type from fleet service.

The textures are created from scratch by the author using the POSKY public paintkit. The author reserves copyright on their modification and use. They are distributed as freeware and may not be used in whole or in part as part of another paint project without permission from the author. They may not be sold or used in any way as part of a payware package or profit-making enterprise. Note that copyright of the original POSKY authors extends over all elements that originate from the paint kit.

Many thanks to the dedicated POSKY team, whose efforts in creating the aircraft and public paintkit have enabled users to fill the virtual sky with versions of this grand old type, which is sadly disappearing in the real world.

Thanks also to the POSKY forum members for hints and suggestions for improvements during the development of the paint project.

***********WHAT'S NEW IN THIS RE-RELEASE AND WHY************

The previous release of this paint was textures-only, with instructions to add them to a white-tail 747SP base model from POSKY. That base model is no longer available on their site, so here the entire aircraft is available making the procedure more simple for users that don't want to construct an aircraft from downloaded elements.

The textures themselves have been adjusted and tidied-up a little; the wing undersides have been re-worked to make them appear more realistic in varying lighting conditions and the cargo handling equipment has been painted in a representation of a real-world cargo handling company. I've added a subtle shade layer to the main fuselage paint to give the appearance of reflected light, but this is deliberately not overdone to make it look highly polished.

I hope you enjoy this addition to Qantas' long-haul virtual fleet.

*****DISCLAIMER***********

The author offers no guarantee that these procedures will perform flawlessly as described and accepts no responsibility for loss or damage howsoever caused by the use of these textures or the instructions provided for their use.

The user accepts that they are making alterations to the configuration of their Microsoft Flight Simulator installation and that they are entirely responsible for the result.
